V Arsenal, Premier League, 2pm

1. Why you were looking forward to going to the ground (or not as the case may be)

It was another new ground to go to and it wasn't too far from home either as I live in Oxford.

2. How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking

The guy I went with did all the driving/navigating so I didn't really have to do anything !  We parked on a main road about 5 mins walk from the Hawthorns which was free.

3. What you did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans friendly?

Unfortunately all the pubs in the area were home only but most people had Christmas day hangovers so a couple of hours in the fresh air did me a fair amount of good!  We had a look round the ground, cheers the players as they came in.  I had to wait for someone who was picking a ticket up off me and after that went inside the ground.  Fans were very friendly, when we parked up some albino fans asked how our journey up was etc..

4. What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the ground

The ground was impressive, especially for a team who has been in the 1st division for sometime until now.   Away end concourse was very very cramped could hardly move so just made was to the seats. Quite a lot of police presence outside the away end, dogs, drug control and everything ! Your tickets got checked before you even went near the away end.

5. Comment on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, toilets etc..

Game was pretty end to end stuff, albino took the lead in the 3rd minute through Dichio, Jeffers got us back in it with a tap in on 48 mins before Henry sent us 2,700 gooners mad in the 85th minute with a well taken goal after a mistake from one of their defenders.  Stewards were helpful enough telling me where my seat was not heavy handed at all, didn't mind us standing for large periods of the game.  Didn't have any food in the ground due to the congestion, toilets were fine.  Albion fans very noisy, watching 24,000 of them jump up and down in that weird was shouting "boing boing baggies baggies" when they scored was quite bizarre !

6. Comment on getting away from the ground after the game.

Small amount of traffic but nothing heavy, as it was a 2pm kick off all the other boxing day games were still going on by the time ours had finished so the roads were fairly clear.

7. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out

Good day out, and nice ground as well, would defiantly visit again if they stay up.  £19 was one the cheapest in then the league and a lot better than paying £30 for some aways!
