1. Why you were looking forward to going to the ground (or not as the case may be):

Not really relevant, as I had been a couple of times before.

2. How easy was your journey/finding the ground/car parking :

One of the easiest Premiership grounds to find - it's literally right off Junction 1 of the M5. You then get to a roundabout, where you turn left (on to the A41), and the ground is a few hundred yards up on the right. If you get there early enough, you can park on the side streets off the main road. Alternatively, there are lots of car parks along the main road for about £4/5.

3. What you did before the game pub/chippy.... home fans friendly?

Unfortunately, not many pubs nearby. And the ones that are there are generally home fans only. Plenty of burger vans dotted around the edge of the stadium, and a McDonalds bang opposite the ground.

4. What you thought on seeing the ground, first impressions of away end then other sides of the ground:

It is a ground I quite like - although the main stand could do with a bit of touching up. Generally has a good feel to it, a good atmosphere from the Baggies which will mainly come from the fans to the right, and behind the opposite goal. Leg room is a little cramped, but its a good view towards the back. When WBA score, the whole stadium jumps up and down with this weird "boing boing" thing!

5. Comment on the game itself, atmosphere, stewards, pies, toilets etc..

Not a good game, our worst Premiership appearance of the season so far, compounded by ex-Gooner Kanu grabbing both goals in 2-0 defeat! Stewards seem fairly relaxed - I've been able to stand the whole way through every time I've been. Concourse is VERY cramped, and a long queue for beer/pies. Interestingly, they sell whisky in the concourse, something I don't think I've encountered anywhere else.

6. Comment on getting away from the ground after the game:

A big negative! Be warned, away fans do not exit the way they came in! They are led through an alley, which goes on a big curve around the surrounding area, leading you back on to the main road 10 minutes later. The traffic is quite bad as far as the roundabout, but then you just jump on the M5 and its plain sailing.

7. Summary of overall thoughts of the day out:

This particular visit wasn't great, given that it was -6 degrees pitchside and Spurs put in a woeful performance, which saw us get deservedly beaten 2-0. One plus point from the day was spotting ex-Gooner Alan Smith in the front of the away section doing his live updates for Sky, and taunting him throughout. One other negative is the big screens - they are at awkward angles, and you can't really see anything on them from the away end.

In general though, WBA is a pretty good away game, easy to get to and a good atmosphere. The locals seem quite friendly, and it shouldn't be a problem wearing colours.
